He and his wife, Diane, have invested in numerous startup and ancillary businesses in the industry. Jay has also been an influential advisor for some of the most promising start-ups in the marketplace, including Tradiv, Wurk, Canna Insider, and Vangst Talent Network.
Jay acts as a mentor through industry organizations such as the Arcview Group, and directly as an individual. He serves an active role as a Lifetime Investor Member of the Arcview Group and won Arcview’s Outstanding Member Award in 2016 for his commitment to the industry. Jay often serves as a “Shark” for Arcview’s pitch forums, a role that is reserved for only the most experienced and trusted experts in the cannabis investment community.
Taking his experience and expertise in investing a step further, Jay founded Trailhead, LLC in 2020 to bring adventure, innovation, and a pioneering spirit to cannabis investing. Trailhead focuses exclusively on cannabis business investing, providing smart money, guidance, and a wealth of knowledge, connections, and influence to industry entrepreneurs.
